Oolong is a multimedia performance took place in Connecting Space, Hong Kong. A fishnet was transformed into a huge teabag. We invited our audience to enjoy a cup of 'Oolong'. The fishnet also played the role of a stage, a musical instrument, a projection space, a sculpture, as well as, a trap.

Participating in Takashi Makino's workshop, I tried to scrawl on a shot 16mm positive film and experienced the Pulfrich effects and the Norman Mclaren’s pen point percussion. Since the length of the film has limitation (looping is not a good solution), I started to think about making this piece into a continuous interactive process. I came up with the idea of making a handmade playful film projector, an interface which allows the viewers to 'hurt' the film, therefore, bringing changes to the images as well as the sounds.

SinKiang Fantasia is a romantic dance music composed by Professor Liquan Yao, Shanghai Conservatory of music. Within moderate length and changeful melodies, this piece shows a sensitive inward world of a SinKiang girl.

​‘South' tells a story about a murderer who just ran away from the crime scene, however, with police in pursuit while severely injured. I composed the soundtrack in Cubase for this short piece.

Instead of connected to sound inputs, channels of the mixer were connected with each other. By trying different compound modes, I found one with the most abundant sounds. Therefore, by 'composing', a piece of noise performance were created by this no-input mixer. And the mixer itself, became an instrument.
